To attach this acrylic top to your AWUK empty metal Hitbox case, you will need to use the existing plastic grommets that came with your AWUK empty metal Hitbox case, as this acrylic top is not supplied with any additional plastic grommets.
We recommend installing the buttons into the acrylic top prior to fixing the top to the AWUK Hitbox metal case with the plastic grommets. Once you have your PCB installed in the bottom of the metal case and you have your buttons installed in the acrylic top and have completed your wiring, you can then go ahead and fix the acrylic top to the metal case. To attach the top, simply line the top up with the pre-drilled holes and push one of the plastic grommets into each of the holes. When you push these in firmly, the top will be secured into place.
Removing the acrylic top from your AWUK empty metal Hitbox case once attached:
If you need to go inside your Hitbox case once the top has been attached, please follow the steps below. You will need a Phillips screwdriver and a flat head screwdriver.
1/ Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the rubber feet on the bottom of the metal case and also unscrew the 2 screws on the rear of the case that hold the USB adapter in place.
2/ Using a flat head screwdriver, place this in the holes at the bottom of the case and push upwards on the plastic grommets and these will pop out.
