Great Colours, Very Reponsive
I'm no expert but the feeling of these buttons are great. Reasonable depth when pressed and neither too sensitive nor too hard a stop at the end of the travel. Ever so slightly convex and nice to bash away at as they rebound quickly. The Keikou colours are absolutely gorgeous and are a really good idea to stand out if you have some detailed artwork behind your controls. At least, I can vouch for the Keikou Orange, Pink and Green. That Lime-Yellow is a little too much for my taste (but I'm sure 'the kids' will love it). As an alternative, the regular Blue button goes perfectly well with the Keikou Orange and Pink to make a set of three, or Keikou Green as well for a spread of four as I have. I can't vouch for the other colours in the set as I didn't buy any more; just don't confuse all the greenish options when ordering.
The standard of standards
Seimitsu buttons are responsive as its competitors but has enough resistance that leaning on them is possible. Love these buttons and use them on all my sticks
...is well, your average orange ..er, orange like the fruit. I's hoping for something brighter, akin to Sanwa's "vermillion" colour. I've ordered a couple of red PS buttons; from the looks of it, "Seimitsu red" appears closer to what I was looking for anyway.
My all-encompassing review re: brands :p
Sanwas are loose; Crowns, 'Gamerfingers', or anything really with linear switches, won't let you properly "swipe" buttons. Seimitsu baby, all the way. Much like their lever series, these are the *true* Japanese arcade components.
I had Sanwa buttons before, but i felt like they were sometimes a little too responsive. So i bought these wonderful Seimitsu buttons and they're the best buttons i ever tried. They feel just like Sanwas when your fingers are resting on them, but are a little harder to activate. Just perfect for my taste!
Seimitsu PS-14-GN 30mm Screw In Arcade Butto
simply the best buttons I have used so far
Perfect feel and robust. I screwed them into 12mm MDF and it's fine, even though the description says 9mm max.
These buttons are great! I originally bought one of those cheap kits from Amazon, but the buttons we're stiff and clicky. Felt really bad in my cabinet. Then I did a little research and landed on these buttons. They are perfect. They feel really nice to press. Not clicky at all, but still enough travel distance to feel nice. Only bad thing I can say is that they fit pretty loosely in a 30mm hole and are not long enough to use the threads in a 3/4 inch piece of particle board. Also, this store did not have enough inventory of the colors I wanted.
Not like i expected
No feeling when press, i'm not satisfied unfortunately.
Top upgrade for picade.
The clip in buttons on picade are prone to breaking and been slightly loose. These are screw in and secure but with same depth and connectors. Straight swap out.
Decent buttons, used a couple as the escape and enter buttons on the side of my pimoroni picade, replacing the standard ones. These look nicer (got the black and yellow ones) and are more obvious. Very easy to fit and work well too.
Smooth action and quite noticeable engagement, very nice to use, great quality overall and quiet thanks to the non clicky switches.
