The AWUK 8 way ball top joystick features a large spring, sturdy metal mounting plate, 5cm long shaft and a ball top handle, which is available in a choice of colours. This joystick has a dedicated 8 way movement and is a great choice for various arcade machine builds or commercial/exhibition projects. The AWUK 8 way ball top joystick has a very good return to centre action, due to the oversize spring and also features a long shaft, which is approx 5cm in height. Wiring Info:
This joystick requires 4.8mm crimped wires for connection.
This joystick has 4 x microswitches fitted with 4.8mm terminals.
Each microswitch will require 1 x 4.8mm ground connection and 1 x wire 4.8mm for signal connection.
For the ground connections, you can use the daisy chain ground harness 4.8mm.
The grounds connect to the CO (common ground) terminals and the signal wires connect to the NO (normally open) terminals.
Pre-crimped wires and daisy chain harnesses can be purchased separately here:

Very good quality
I find these to be much nicer than the zippy long handled joysticks. They have a very nice springy feel to them and feel very well made. The only downside is the choice of ball top colours, which come in red and black. More colour choices would be nice.
